1. Is teal green or blue?

– Teal is a combination of blue and green, so its neither one color, it’s a mix of both colors together – now mixing different amounts of blue and green can produce different saturations of teal color. We produce some of the best teal sapphire gemstones – and teal color has been getting very popular off late. The name comes from the Eurasian duck that’s neck had a teal color on it. We produce green teal’s and blue teal’s but the actual perfect teal is 50% blue and 50% green which answers the question of whether teal is green or blue.

2.Are diamond wedding rings losing their appeal?

– Yes, diamond wedding rings are losing their appeal because 2021 is the year of change and covid has made diamonds unaffordable. So the very simple answer of this question is yes, they are loosing their appeal. Customers are opting for color sapphires instead because by buying color sapphire (2nd hardest gemstone after diamonds) they can differentiate and not loose their identity. It also takes it easy on their pockets, so colored sapphire wedding rings (engagement rings) are budget-friendly and don’t cost 1000’s of $. Diamonds rings have also lost their fashion due to De-Beers going into Lab created diamonds, with their brand called Lightbox.

– Sapphires usually cost less then 25% of the diamond cost, if we take Sapphire of the same clarity, color, quality. White sapphires usually cost even less, a 1 carat top quality white diamond wholesales for 5000$ US roughly and white sapphire wholesales for 300$ per carat, that’s less then 10%. – Valuable usually means whats more popular, its difficult to gauge this question but it depends on the size, quality, color of the two stones. If emerald and sapphire of the same quality, lets say, loop clean for instance, 5 carat size, no treatment in both the stones, top color, emeralds will be much more valuable then sapphire, because emeralds are usually cooked in the mother’s dirty kitchen and inclusions are a norm.

8.Why do some Sapphires look black?

– Many dark sapphires are Basalt related, means they form in areas where the they are heated at quite high temperatures from the volcano, so this means that they produce a lot of dark stones. We also see that majority of sapphires in the world are black today, the ones from Thailand and Australia are many of them are dark because that’s the nature of sapphire.
